AMAZING Picture

We are so lucky to have Christina in our family - for many obvious reasons.  But one additional blessing is that she is a really good photographer.  Very creative, plus has great equipment.  check out what she did with this picture.  Can you see the ball?

THANK YOU CHRISTINA for all of the great pictures.

We love you,
Chris

We're OUTTA THERE!!!

Well, the 11 year old boys made it to the semi-finals and then lost.  It was a fun couple of weeks while the tournament lasted...  Nick did great, made new friends and improved his batting skills.  Now, our only commitment with Little League is the Concessions stand.

The last few days have been H-O-T!!!  I mean, low 90's, but today we hit 100!!  Unseasonably warm for us northwestern folks...  Today is a Lake Day for sure.   OMG!  Side note - I am sitting here listening to the most WICKED thunderstorm, accompanied by c-r-a-z-y lightning!  it's like we're living in Kansas or something...

We WON!!!

Congratulations to the 11 year-old Auburn ALL Stars for winning their first tournament game against South Hill Puyallup by a score of 13 to 3.  We 10-run ruled them!!  woohoo!  Nick had a great sliding catch in right field for a 3rd out, and an important heads-up play where he backed up the first baseman and caught an over-throw, which kept a runner at first base.

A few of the moms went to great lengths to decorate the kids' dugout.  It looked fabulous with green and gold balloons, streamers, and more.  Each player had a metallic green balloon with their name on it.   We took the earliest baseball picture of our kids and put them in the stars (see picture above). And, each mom received a big pin with our All Star's picture on it.   We also all had hand-clapper noisemakers.  Puyallup knew that AUBURN was IN THE HOUSE!!!!

Next game is on Tuesday at 6:00, same location:  King County Ballfields.

Go AUBURN!!!!

Go NICK!!!

11 Year Old All Star Tournament

Nick made the 11 year old All Star team.  It means baseball for 3 hours EVERY day.  Nick has been working so hard. But, it's also been so much fun - for the kids and the parents.  They get special uniforms, we have pizza parties after Friday practices, and more.  The moms have been working so hard on making special banners and other "bling" to hang on the dugout walls.

The Tournament starts today up at King County fields off of Military road.  The address is 35799 Military Road, so.  Game is at 3:00 pm.    Check the 'Field Locations' link on the Auburn Little League website for more field info.

Go AUBURN!!!

FABULOUS Girls' Weekend at Doe Bay

Lagoon at Doe Bay

Doe Bay Resort
The Girls

First of all - SORRY I have not posted in so long.  As you know, I have been busy.  yah yah.

Well, last weekend I went up to Doe Bay on Orcas Island for a Bachelorette Party for one of my girlfriends.  24 of us went up, in total.  It goes without saying that we had so much fun.  We took a chartered boat up to Orcas.  Even the weather was beautiful.  Believe it or not, it was NOT RAINING up there.  Doe Bay is a 'hippie resort', more or less.  You won't find a processed grain up there unless you smuggled it in yourself.   We went up Friday and returned on Sunday.  We hiked, shopped, ate good food, celebrated, and soaked naked in the soaking pools that overlook the Rosario Strait.  Nothing like nekkid tubbing with 24 of your closest friends!!

Here are a few pictures of Doe Bay Resort.  Enjoy!
